[Wrf-users] WRF YSU-scheme PBL Heights

Hello,
Is anyone out there calculating their own PBL heights for the WRF YSU
scheme? As you could see on any of these loops
http://www.atmos.washington.edu/~ovens/loops/wxloop.cgi?wrfd2_pblht+/3/72/3
the PBLH field is way too low, < 50 m, much of the time in many
locations. Notice in the following loop,

the abrupt change in PBLH from 5 pm to 8 pm over the land.
