I successfully compiled WRFV2.2 using g95 with the precompiled netCDF 3.6.1
for Linux 2.6 x86-64.
I also had to edit numerous lines through the code (as suggested by Arnold
Moene), most of which were wrf_debug or wrf_err_fatal calls which overran the
132-char line width condition in g95. A unified diff will be posted in the
near future.

Perhaps you could try a version of netcdf that's compiled with single
underscore convention.
Try to install and use the UNIDATA pre-compiled binary that was built
with PGI:
ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/binary/linux_2.4-i686/
it should work with g95.
