[Wrf-users] Problems with PGI 6.1-3

We installed the latest patch of PGI (6.1-3).  While this patch appears
to have corrected the compiler bug affecting real.exe we originally
reported, I am now finding other problems.  Specifically, the wrfbdy_d01
file is not correct, and the differences are severe.  Running the Jun
2001 NCAR test case with WRF/real compiled with PGI 6.1-3 on an AMD
system results in CFL's beginning around 21 hours into the simulation,
and the results are drastically different.  
 
On a positive note, whatever this "bug" is only seems to affect
real.exe, and within that, only the wrfbdy file.  I was able to
successfully run the June 2001 case using the WRF code compiled with
6.1-3, but using the input files created using real.exe compiled with
the older version of PGI.  The results were bit-for-bit identical to the
successful WRF simulation using the older compiler.  Next, I wrote a
couple of quick programs to compare the contents of the wrfinput_d01 and
wrfbdy_d01 created with the two versions of PGI. I found that the
wrfinput_d01 file was identical in both cases, but the wrfbdy_d01 file
has signficant differences (I am including the print-out of the
wrfbdy_d01 differences below).  
 
I have forwarded these results to PGI.  
 
As with my last posts, if anyone else is able to verify my results, it
would be very useful!
