From Susan Foster <susanf at ucar.edu>

UCAR/NCAR public science education events draw thousands of excited and
appreciative children, families, and others to explore science and the
work that we do at NCAR. These events are carefully planned by the UCAR
Office of Education and Outreach (EO). Staff members from across the
institution help to make the events fun, meaningful, and informative as
they:

. Greet people and provide directions

. Lead simple educational activities

. Perform science demonstrations

. Serve as science experts

Please mark your calendar for the following 2009 events:

. *Wild Earth Saturday - *April 18, at the Mesa Lab (ML)

. *The Wonders of Science @ Twenty Ninth Street* - Sunday, June 21

. *Super Science Saturday* - Saturday, October 24, at the ML

As a volunteer, you decide what role you would like to play and commit
about three consecutive hours of time to an event. EO will provide
explanations and training, if needed.

Please contact Laura Allen for information (lallen at ucar.edu
<mailto:lallen at ucar.edu>, x 2408).
