Tgcmgroup:

This announces the release of tiegcm1.8. Source and scripts are in
the directory $TGCMROOT/tiegcm1.8. This model is meant to replace
$TGCMROOT/dev/tiegcm1.8 and $TGCMROOT/dev/tiegcm1-8tune2.

This model is essentially tiegcm1-8tune2, with 2 bugs fixed:

  1) To fix oplus.F (sub diffus), mgr is declared real instead of integer.
  2) To fix comp.F, tn lower boundary is in lev1 rather than lev0.

The oplus fix results in significant changes in ionosphere output fields, 
especially O+ and NE.  See the hao directory /home/tgcm/dev/tiegcm_bugfix 
for bug-fixed source and additional information about these changes.
All other source code is identical to tiegcm1-8tune2.

To make a default run of this model copy the appropriate job script from 
$TGCMROOT/tiegcm1.8/scripts to a large empty scratch directory, and
submit using the appropriate command (bsub or llsubmit), or execute
on the command line (bs or hao linux).

Note that tiegcm-ibm.job from the scripts directory may be used to submit 
jobs to either bluesky (using llsubmit), or bluevista (using bsub).

I will be sending more information about running tiegcm and timegcm
models on bluevista soon.
