Dear Registered FLIGHT+ Dataset User,

Updates have been provided for two storms: Dorian (2019) and Karen (2019).
The previous v1.3 release in January 2021 for these storms included
artifacts which may have affected the analysis of intensity, radius of
maximum winds, or wind radii. The problematic flights which contained these
artifacts have now been removed from the official v1.3 data products for
these storms in this update. For reference, users can obtain data products
that include the problem flights from the v1.3-beta data products.

The updated v1.3 release can be obtained here:
https://verif.rap.ucar.edu/tcdata/flight/dataset/

Notes about which fights have been excluded for these storms can be found
in the data provenance notes at:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11Z_XnN0bYxIUhEUajHjMQxIX4dPoJnlvj2KDEnBYFak/edit#gid=871521008

Looking forward to the next FLIGHT+ update (possibly in the next month), we
plan to add a new Level 4 data product which will provide the azimuthal
mean radial profile.

Best regards,
Jonathan
