Hi all,
We
're
pleased to announce the official releases of PyNIO V1.5.0 an
d
PyNGL 1.5.0 under conda.
These packages are currently only available for Python 2.7.x. Coming soon
will be ports of these two packages to Python 3.x. Stay tuned!
To download these versions, be sure to use the "conda-forge" channel. We
recommend installing them to a conda environment:
conda create --name pyn_env --channel conda-forge pynio pyngl
source activate pyn_env
The main features of PyNIO include better support for HDF5 group and
compound data.

The main features of PyNGL include better support for transparency (RGBA
color), the ability to use multiple color tables in a single frame, and
better support for output formats (PNG, SVG).
We've added many new examples to the PyNGL gallery, which include examples
that use the new PyNIO features.
