At the moment, the instructions for installing PyNGL at
https://www.pyngl.ucar.edu/Download/ do not work:
% conda create --name pyn_env --channel conda-forge pynio pyngl
Fetching package metadata .............
Solving package specifications: .
UnsatisfiableError: The following specifications were found to be in
conflict:
- pyngl
Use "conda info <package>" to see the dependencies for each package.
I believe this is due to a broken conda-forge NCL package (a dependency of
PyNGL), as reported here:
https://github.com/conda-forge/ncl-feedstock/issues/26
I am reporting to this list so that you're aware, and in case any of the
membership can assist resolving the NCL problem
