ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE FACULTY POSITION
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES
RUTGERS, THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW JERSEY

The Department of Environmental Sciences, School of Environmental and 
Biological Sciences, Rutgers University, invites applicants for a tenure-track 
faculty position in atmospheric science at the level of Assistant or Associate 
Professor.  Expertise in cloud physics, atmospheric radiation and/or remote 
sensing of the atmosphere is required.  Applicants should demonstrate a 
potential for high-quality teaching as well as for developing a well-funded and 
nationally recognized research program.  The successful candidate will 
participate in the research programs of the Department of Environmental 
Sciences (http://envsci.rutgers.edu), the Center for Environmental Prediction 
(http://cep.rutgers.edu) and the Institute for Marine and Coastal Sciences 
(http://marine.rutgers.edu) and teach in the undergraduate Meteorology Program 
(http://meteorology.rutgers.edu) and the Atmospheric Science Graduate Program 
(http://atmos.rutgers.edu).  Candidates at a higher academic rank will have the 
opportunity to assume leadership roles in these expanding academic programs.  A 
completed Ph.D. in meteorology, atmospheric science, physics, or equivalent is 
required and a minimum of three years of experience at the level of Assistant 
Professor (or equivalent) is highly desirable.  Qualified applicants should
