Post Doctoral Positions in Satellite Remote Sensing at the Waterloo =
Centre for Atmospheric Sciences

The Waterloo Centre for Atmospheric Sciences (WCAS) has a new Post =
Doctoral level position available in the area of satellite data =
analysis. This position involves the retrieval and analysis of infrared =
spectroscopic measurements from satellite-based instruments. The =
purpose of these measurements is the identification and characterization =
of atmospheric clouds and aerosols, with particular emphasis on polar =
stratospheric clouds, cirrus clouds and aerosols in the free =
troposphere. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in =
satellite remote sensing. The successful candidate will have the =
opportunity to collaborate with the other members of the WCAS, a group =
of approximately 25 students and Post Doctoral Fellows working in =
laboratory aerosol studies and atmospheric modelling at the University =
of Waterloo. Further information on the technical aspects of the work =
may be obtained from Professor J.J. Sloan, WCAS Research Director =
(sloanj@UWaterloo.CA ; http://www.science.uwaterloo.ca/~sloanj)

The WCAS is located at the University of Waterloo =
(http://www.uwaterloo.ca/) in the Kitchener-Waterloo urban area =
(http://win.uwaterloo.ca/win/), which has a population of approximately =
250,000, and is surrounded by a pleasant, mostly agricultural, rural =
region.

Applicants should forward their CV by 31 October, 2003 to:
