[Nsa] Calling All Career Stages: Help Shape NSF NCAR Early-Career Professional Development

Hello, NSA members,

If you haven't done so already, the EdEC invites you to take a 5 minute
survey to help shape NSF NCAR early-career professional development.

The goal of this Early-Career Professional Development Survey is to gain a
comprehensive understanding of the early-career training needs of our
scientific and technical staff by gathering input from individuals at all
career stages and various levels within the organization. Input from early
and later career professionals will help us identify and address the
specific training needs of our scientific and technical early-career staff
at NSF NCAR. This survey will help us identify areas of greatest need for
professional development and guide us in determining where to best focus
our limited resources moving forward. *The survey closes Tuesday March 11th
at 5pm MT*.

What: Through the survey we aim to identify:

   - the skills and training early-career professionals feel they currently
   lack,
   - the training that later career staff wish they had received earlier in
   their careers, and
   - insights from supervisors on the skills their supervisees/staff need
   to develop to advance in their careers.


Why: The findings from this survey will play a crucial role in shaping
professional development initiatives tailored to enhance the advancement
and success of early-career staff at NSF NCAR. EdEC staff and co-leads for
the Early-Career Development section will use the study findings to design
and implement targeted training programs for early-career staff.
