The 2025 Early Career Leadership Program website has details and an "APPLY HERE" button. The application deadline is Mon. Dec. 16th, 2024, at 5 pm. Who is eligible? Early career scientific and technical staff at NSF NCAR and UCP who are interested in gaining leadership skills and connecting with colleagues from across the organization. We seek candidates from a wide range of labs, disciplines, and job categories. Acceptance into the program will also be based on answers to the short essay questions in the application on topics like 'what do you think makes a good leader?" You will get to rank topics of interest including: time management & prioritization; communicating effectively; problem-solving and decision-making; collaborating with diverse teams; conflict prevention and resolution; informal leadership; project management, and you may suggest other topics. We've extended the deadline for the ECLP to next Friday, Dec. 20th at 5:00 pm. If you identify as an early career scientist, engineer, or technical staff member and are interested in doing the EdEC Early Career Leadership Program (ECLP), please consider applying. You can apply via the ECLP website . This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills used in formal and informal leadership capacities. After an online kickoff welcome and orientation Feb. 24th, participants will meet online with pods of 3-4 peers three times over six weeks. All participants will gather in Boulder for a 2.5 day in person workshop at the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab starting April 9th. The agenda will include strengthening skills in informal leadership, time management, and collaboration with i nterdisciplinary teams, among other topics. The ECLP is a unique chance to connect and network with peers and develop long-term professional relationships.
