The 2023 Early Career Leadership Program Feb. 21 - Apr 11, 2023, Virtual and In-person (details below) Hosted by NCAR EdEC (Education, Engagement, and Early Career Development) [image: Screen Shot 2023-01-03 at 7.35.47 AM.png] Program Description: In this two month-long course, ~25 early career individuals at NCAR|UCAR|UCP will participate in a leadership development program and will connect with others in early stages of their careers. Topics will include principles of leadership, networking, emotional intelligence, DEIJ, conflict resolution, listening, and mentoring, among others. All sessions will be interactive and thoughtfully designed. There will be some pre-session work to enrich the experience. Eligibility: NCAR|UCAR|UCP employees in science, technical, or educational professions (including postdoctoral fellows) who have been employed for more than 6 months and either are within 12 years of their highest degree or identify as being in their early career are eligible. Schedule Details: 4 two-hour virtual sessions and 1 four-day in-person workshop Part I - Virtual: Tues. Feb. 21st and 28th from 9 - 11 am MT Part II - In-person: Mon - Thurs., Mar. 6th - 9th, 9 am - 3 pm MT Part III - Virtual: Tues. Mar. 22, and Apr. 4th from 9 - 11 am MT Graduation - Hybrid: Tues., Apr. 11th, 9 - 11 am MT Registration Fee: There will be a $150 registration fee to cover meals and breaks during the onsite program component. Travel: Fully remote staff will be asked to work with their lab to cover travel costs to Boulder using REM funds (more information to be provided later on). The SAM Co-Design Team has completed their work in the final phase of the Co-Design process and has transitioned the project to a new Feasibility and Implementation Team (FIT). This new team will be analyzing the recommendations provided by the SAM Co-Design team for feasibility and implementation potential. In this Town Hall, the NCAR and UCP Directors and SAM Co-Chairs will share the outcomes from the SAM recommendations survey, take questions via Slido, and share the next steps and upcoming priorities for the project.
