[Nsa] 2024 Early Career Leadership Program Application open

Good morning,

We are happy to be hosting an Early Career Leadership Program (ECLP) in 2024
this coming spring. We hope you'll consider applying or encourage a
colleague to apply. There is still room!
Details are below and in the attached PDF.

*Early Career Leadership Pr**ogram*
It will run from Feb. 1 - Mar.15, 2024, with* both *virtual and in-person
components.

Part 1: Online sessions with Zoom (mandatory)
Wed, Feb. 21st, 10:30am - 12:00pm MT
Tues. Feb. 27th, 10:30am - 12:00 pm MT
Tues. Mar. 5th, 10:30am - 12:00 pm MT

Part 2: In-person sessions at the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab (mandatory)
Tues - Thurs, Mar.12th - 14th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm MT each day
Fri, Mar.15th, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm MT

*Participants must be able to attend all sessions.
**There is no remote option for in-person days.

Description: The Early Career Leadership Program or ECLP hosted by EdEC
will include topics such as: the principles of leadership, coaching others,
developing project talking points, overcoming obstacles in publishing, and
effective communication.  An additional goal of the program is to foster
networking among early-career participants.  Last year's participants
reported finding the workshop enjoyable and helpful, and that they were
able to make connections across the organization.

Eligibility: Applicants must have been employed at NSF NCAR|UCAR|UCP for at
least six months, and be within 12 years of their highest degree or
identify as being "early career." Employees in *any job category* are
welcome to apply, although preference will be given to those in scientific
or technical professions.

Registration Fee: Labs will be asked to pay a $200 registration fee for
each participant to cover meals and breaks during the onsite program
component for participants.

Travel: Fully remote staff are to work with their lab/program/center/office
to use REM funds to cover travel costs to Boulder.
