Dear NSA members,

There is an opportunity for interested scientists and engineers to join the
UCAR leadership through the Science and Engineering Leadership Fellow
program. This opportunity allows for you to develop leadership skills
through training, observation, and hands-on experience with the UCAR
leadership team. Also, the successful fellow will be able to pursue a
project or focus area of their choosing. For more information on how to
apply see the PSIF Leadership Fellow web page

The UCAR President's Strategic Initiative Fund
<https://internal.ucar.edu/president/strategic-initiative-fund> Science and
Engineering Leadership Fellow opportunity is reopening to accept
applications for the FY22 term starting October 1, 2021.
*Proposals/applications
are due Friday, April 9. *

This one-year fellowship is open to NCAR and UCP scientists and engineers
interested in joining the UCAR President's Office for up to 50% of their
time. Fellows are given unique opportunities to work with the UCAR
leadership team and gain real-world experience while developing high-level
leadership skills through training, observation, and hands-on experience.

In addition to participating in Senior Staff meetings, Observing
President's Council, and joining strategic and tactical sessions, the
successful fellow will take a deep dive into a project or focus area of
their choosing.

Candidates should be scientists and/or engineers, including software
engineers, whether ladder or non-ladder-track, who have been with the
organization for at least three years. Staff not located in Boulder are
encouraged to apply with the understanding that accommodating relocation
for the entire term may not be possible.

For more information on how to apply see the PSIF Leadership Fellow web page
<https://internal.ucar.edu/president/strategic-initiative-fund/scientific-leadership-fellowship>
or
contact Jill Reisdorf. <reisdorf at ucar.edu> An informational meeting with
past/current Leadership Fellows can be arranged to answer questions about
what they have experienced during their time as Fellows.
