Dear NCAR Scientific Staff,

The Early Career Faculty Innovators Program is a new program that will
support 9 early career faculty and their graduate students to conduct
research at NCAR at the intersection of coastal regions and human
settlements. Faculty have expertise in a broad range of disciplines outside
NCAR’s core programs, from anthropology and geography to urban planning and
civil engineering. The National Science Foundation will fund the faculty
members and graduate students for a two-year period. Faculty members will
have summer sabbaticals at NCAR, while graduate students will receive
year-round funding.

We welcome opportunities for engagement and collaboration with the
Innovators cohort. Join us on Monday May 20th in FL2-1022 at 2:00
(immediately following the Strategic Planning Town Hall) for a Q & A
session about the Innovators Program.

The session will include information about:

   - the program
   - the cohort, and
   - how you can engage with the group

For more information about the program, please see the Early Career Faculty
Innovator Program Website
