[ncl-talk] Question regarding wavenumber-frequency spectrum

1) "I mean what the negative wavenumber physically mean?"
     A negative wave number has the same meaning as a positive wave number
except is it for westward propagating waves.

2) Re: ""*mjo_wavenum_freq_season*" and "*mjo_wavenum_freq_season_plot*"
only applicable for zonal waves?"
    Yes. They require cyclic data in longitude.

3) "I am interested in the meridional waves. I mean I need the
wavenumber-freqency spectra in meriodional direction. How to implement that?
Any sort of suggestion will be highly appreciated."

I am not aware of any work done in "wavenumber-freqency spectra in
meriodional direction'
