Dear NCL support,
I've been reading the threads about ncl install problem but I just cannot
find the problem.
I've tried to install ncl through conda, which seemed to be working,
however I have the same problem as John Trostel had before, ng4ex is not
working because ncl is not looking in the right directory. Directly, for
example the nclex/xyplot/xy05n.ncl works.
My other problem is, that ncl_convert2nc gives Segmentation fault error, no
matter what type of file (grb, grib2, hdf) I'd like to convert. I can open
and plot the attached grib with ncl (cdo can even convert it to netcdf so
libraries shouldn't be an issue).
I don't have an install from apt. I've tried installing ncl from the
precompiled libraries as well, but ncl_convert2nc exits with the same
error.
Info & error:
source activate ncl_stable
which ncl
/usr/local/miniconda3/envs/ncl_stable/bin/ncl
env | grep NCARG
NCARG_ROOT=/usr/local/miniconda3/envs/ncl_stable
