[ncl-install] Convert to Ascii format

Hello,

I am new to ncl, so I appreciate if you can give me some help.  I have many data files, which are saved in "*.nc" format, and now I would like to convert to them to ascii files.   Is there any function or command that allow me to write the file in ascii format.
