Dear list,

recently I found some gaps in the runoff data from NARCCAP. That is, there
are some timesteps when the whole domain is masked out.
I wrote a script to find such files and the dates for which it happens,
here is the sample output (for the files in the current directory with the
names starting with mrros_*):

>>>
File mrros_WRFG_ccsm_1991010103.nc is OK.
File mrros_WRFG_ccsm_1976010103.nc is OK.
File mrros_WRFG_ccsm_1968010103.nc is OK.
File mrros_WRFG_ccsm_1971010103.nc is OK.

Finished checking
corrupted files:
mrros_WRFG_ccsm_1986010103.nc
mrros_WRFG_ccsm_1996010103.nc

I have put the script here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4629759/bad_index.py
I am not sure if the gaps like these exist for the other simulations or
variables.

Cheers
