Initial Request
----------------------------------------------------------------
John,
I got a issue in my ensemble mean CAPE verification (for line type
CTC). The input forecast file is from ensemble_grid run,
the observation file is prebbufr nc file
I have checked CAPE data are existing in both forecast and observation
data files, but the error message says 0-pair matched.
As a result, there is no CTC data in the output stat file. I checked this
case but can not find the problem.
A testing case is stored the following directory on HERA,
/scratch2/NCEPDEV/fv3-cam/noscrub/Binbin.Zhou/MET_test/g2o_ets
The running script is run.sh
Could you please check this issue for me?
Thanks in advance!

Subject: 0 pair matched issue in ensemble mean CAPE verification

John,
Thanks for your debugging for this issue. Yes, I found the reason:
The prepbufr nc files was produced by PB2NC from the NAM prepbufr
file
*.tm03. It seems that all of the prepbufr files *.tm03 have no
ADPUPA
type data (only the prepbufr files *.tm00 have ADPUPA). So CAPE data
do not
exist in the resultant prepbufr nc file.
The case can be closed
Thanks!
