Hi,

I took the in-person tutorial in METPlus this February. I'm trying to apply
MET to verify an experimental WRF-based model using radiosonde
observational data. I wonder if there is a capability like that in MET?
Could PointStat be used for that?

Elena,

Certainly.  If you have point observations, you would use the Point-
Stat
tool to compare them to you gridded WRF output files.  The issue
really
comes down to file formats.

If the radiosonde data is already included in a PREPBUFR file, you'd
process that file using the PB2NC tool.
If the radiosonde data is in ascii, you'd use the ascii2nc tool to
pre-process it.  Ascii2nc supports a handful of input point
observation
formats.  You can check to see if your data matches one of those.  If
not,
I'd suggest reformatting it to the 11-column MET format.
