Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Lintao, running MTD on Cheyenne for some climate research (around
20 years). When I ran hourly data for 4 days, I took around 2.5
minutes, and 38.5 min for 10 days, more than 24 hours for 1 month.

I am writing to ask: 1) why the computing hours increase so
dramatically with the length of input data? 2) how can I make it
faster?
