  Initial Request
----------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I am using MET (met-5.1_bugfix) for the first time and trying to compile on
yellowstone.

Firstly, do we have a pre-compiled MET version at Yellowstone. It would be
easier to to try it out that way.
Or
we have to install all the required libraries individually and compile
it... I will have difficulty finding the correct path for multiple
locations, like GSL.

Please let me know.

thanks,
Ashish

Ashish,

Yes, there is a pre-compiled version of MET on yellowstone. It's
listed at
the bottom of this page:
   http://www.dtcenter.org/met/users/downloads/index.php

But here's the path listed:
   /glade/p/ral/jnt/MET/MET_releases/met-5.1

Just let us know if you run into any issues at runtime.

Thanks,

Hi John,

I think I am not able to find couple if scripts used in MET online
practice
session. (for MET practice session guide). Could you please guide me
the
links.
http://www.dtcenter.org/met/users/support/OnLinePractical/OnLinePractical_215/
Eg.

   *cp scripts/config/MODEConfig_APCP_12
tutorial/config/MODEConfig_APCP_12*
   *cp scripts/config/MODEConfig_APCP_24
tutorial/config/MODEConfig_APCP_24*
   *cp scripts/config/MODEConfig_RH tutorial/config/MODEConfig_RH*

MODE Tool: Run

*out/pcp_combine/sample_fcst_12L_2005080712V_12A.nc \
   out/pcp_combine/sample_obs_2005080712V_12A.nc \*

thanks,
Ashish

Ashish,

I see that you're working through the practical sessions which are
designed
for use during the in-person MET tutorial. Please try running the MET
online tutorial instead.

We have not yet updated it for MET version 5.1, but it's very similar
to
MET version 5.0:

http://www.dtcenter.org/met/users/support/online_tutorial/METv5.0/index.php

Thanks,
John
