Initial Request

Hello,
I’m attempting to compile met 5.1_bugfix on Yellowstone, and i’m receiving an error that it cannot find netcdf.hh, but the netcdf path is properly set and the file exists in the /include folder and even upon setting met_netcdflib/include paths it gives the same error.
I’m sure this is something simple i’m overlooking but if you could suggest any help i’d appreciate it, config and make logs attached, thanks,
Brock

Hello Brock,
I see that you're having trouble compiling MET on yellowstone.
As listed on the MET website (
http://www.dtcenter.org/met/users/downloads/index.php), MET is already
installed on yellowstone in this location:
/glade/p/ral/jnt/MET/MET_releases/met-5.1
You're welcome to use that version. But if you'd like to make
modifications to the source code or have some other reason for needing
a
separate build, just let me know. To get around your NETCDF issue,
please
try setting:
setenv MET_NETCDF /glade/p/ral/jnt/tools/netcdf-3.6.3
And then reconfigure/recompile MET.
Thanks,
John

HI John,
Thanks for pointing out the installed copy, that will work, I
should’ve better read the documentation to see that.
