Folks,
I'm trying to download MET to install on Yellowstone supercomputers,
but the download pages goes in a loop with the error "Existing Users:
The registration form has been updated, please re-register" and does
not allow me to download it. Can you please give me a URL that I can
access from the supercomputer or point me to the tarball somewhere?

Hi Davide.
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems downloading MET.
In case you weren't aware, MET is currently installed on yellowstone
at the
following location:
/glade/p/ral/jnt/MET/MET_releases/met-5.0
It has the set of patches through January 26th, but does not yet
include
the patches from February 5th which include parsing lat/lon grid
definition
from CF-compliant NetCDF files that cross the international date line.
If that works for you, please feel free to use that version,
otherwise,
here is a link to the tar file:

And, here is a link to the latest set of patches:

Julie,
Are you or RAL interested in making MET more visible to the NCAR
community? If so, would you like to make an install in /glade/apps/opt
and a module file for people to load? You will need to follow some
policies to achieve that though.
Let me know if you think that's something you guys would be interested
in (I guess you'll need to talk to Tara and we'll discuss the thing in
more details next week).

NCAR community and would welcome exploring what policies we would have
to follow to achieve an install in /glade/apps/opt. I'm basically
