Hi,
tc_pairs can't seem to "find" the AVNO track from this adeck file. I got 
the ADECK file from NHC and it looks okay to me--there are "AVNO" lines 
, but as you can see from the output below, it finds zero ADECK tracks. 
Can you find anything wrong?  I tried match_points=FALSE and TRUE.
I attached the config file, adeck and bdeck file, and my command line 
and the output is shown below.

Dave,

Good question.  This is functionality specified by the hurricane folks
in the DTC.  Apparently the GFS model used to be named AVN, but the
name was changed to GFS back in 2002.  For some reason, AVN
still shows up in the hurricane track data rather than GFS.  When MET-
TC parses track data it automatically replaces any instances of AVN
with GFS in the "Technique" column of the ATCF data.

Please try modifying your TC-Pairs config file...
From:
    model = ["AVNO"];
To:
    model = ["GFSO"];

Then try rerunning.  Currently, there is no way to override this
behavior.  Please let me know if this is problematic for you.
