Hello,
My name is wang, i am doing my master thesis at a university in Beijing . I want to use MET to verify preciptation field generated by BJ-RUC .Now, I met the problem about Plotting and Graphics. when I successfully run the MODE in met ,i can get the postscript form the output result .the question is when i use the output NETCDF file to draw the picture like in postscript,i found the boundary line of the object is different from which in postscript generated by R language. the detail can see the attachment file , my question how can i use the NETCDF file to draw the boundary line like in postscript???
the met.ncl is my drawing script !the NETCDF data is also in attachment file
Thanks in advance and best whishes!

Wang,
Those are some very nice plots. I see that you've successfully
plotted the objects from the MODE NetCDF file and that you are able to
plot the outline points. Those lat/lon's in the NetCDF variables
named fcst_bdy_lat, fcst_bdy_lon, obs_bdy_lat, and obs_bdy_lon contain
points that follow the outline of the objects.
It sounds like you're really interested in the lat/lon's for the
convex hull of the objects. That is the black outline in picture (c)
around the green object. Unfortunately, the lat/lon's for the
convex hulls are not currently included in the NetCDF output of MODE.
The code could be modified to include them in the output, but they are
not currently.
Hope that answers your question.
Thanks,
John Halley Gotway
