  Initial Request
----------------------------------------------------------------

Hello

I was trying to compile MET v3.1 and I have problems because the linker ask
for libm.a and I have Fedora 11 from an .rpm instalation and it has only
the libm.so library.

Like I made WRF-ARW and other models on operational basis, I'm not able to
update the SO right now.

I would like to know if there is any hint to solve this problem

Thank you very much for your help, best regards

Estela

Estela,

If you want to link against shared libraries when building MET, you
should remove or comment out the -static flag from
the CXX_FLAGS setting in your user_defs.mk file:

   CXX_FLAGS    = -Wall -Wshadow  # -static -g

If you have any other trouble compiling MET, please send me your
user_defs.mk file and a log of the compiler output,
which you can capture using the following commands:

   make >& make_met.log&
   tail -f make_met.log

Thanks,

Paul

Hello

I'm testing point_stat and I realize that I have to process before
the
wrfout file using p_interp.

I download p_interp and compile in serial mode, but when I run it, I
got
the following message. It is runing with 16GB of memory.

Output will be written to: ./wrfout_d01_2011-04-07_00:00:00_PLEV
Operating system error: Cannot allocate memory

The wrfout_d01_2011-04-07_00:00:00 contains 72 hrs forecasts fields
every 3
hrs.

Thanks for your help

Estela
