Initial Request
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Again, I'm having problem getting mode analysis to output a dataline
that contains the merged object interest value. I have tried about every
configuration of -single/-pair , -simple/-cluster, -matched/-unmatched to
extract the F???_O??? data lines for interest. My mode_analysis command
line is
/sphome/qcteam/METv3.0/bin/mode_analysis -lookin
/h/data/global/WXQC/data/met/mode/precip -summary -single -matched -model
WRF -column interest -area_thresh_min 10 -fcst_lead 0 -fcst_valid_min
20110220_12 -fcst_val
id_max 20110220_12 -centroid_lat_min -90 -centroid_lat_max 90
-centroid_lon_min -180 -centroid_lon_max 180 -out
/h/data/global/WXQC/data/met/mode/precip/centroids/intwrfbf20110220_12
-dump_row /h/data/gl
obal/WXQC/data/met/mode/precip/centroids/intwrfbf20110220_12dump
The dump file is attached.
Please email me the response directly. I won't get it if you go through
your system.
Thanks
Bob

Bob,
First of all, single objects do not have interest values. Instead, we
think you might be interested in clustered pairs,
for which you would use a command like this:
/sphome/qcteam/METv3.0/bin/mode_analysis \
-lookin /h/data/global/WXQC/data/met/mode/precip \
-summary -column interest \
-pair -cluster \
-model WRF \
-out
/h/data/global/WXQC/data/met/mode/precip/centroids/intwrfbf20110220_12
\
-dump_row
/h/data/global/WXQC/data/met/mode/precip/centroids/intwrfbf20110220_12dump
Notice that I removed the following filtering options:
-area_thresh_min 10
-fcst_lead 0
-fcst_valid_min 20110220_12 -fcst_valid_max 20110220_12
-centroid_lat_min -90 -centroid_lat_max 90
-centroid_lon_min -180 -centroid_lon_max 180
These did not apply to the test data you sent me. Once you get the
mode_analysis command working as expected, you can
add those back in. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Paul
