[Met_help] input data

Teresa,

Please refer to Chapter 3 of the MET user's guide for a description of supported data formats: http://www.dtcenter.org/met/users/docs/users_guide/MET_Users_Guide_v1.1.pdf

To summarize though, MET reads gridded data in either GRIB1 or a rather rigid format of NetCDF.  For the next release of MET, in 2/2009, we plan to support a more generalized form of NetCDF.

If you're able to convert your gridded ASCII data into GRIB1, that would make things easiest.  If not, I could give you advice about reformatting it into a version of NetCDF that MET will accept.
