[ISP-mc] ISP.POP.Projects (response by 5-5)

Dear ISP Project Leads,

Fairly shortly after I distributed this request, it became apparent that
this was essentially asking several of you to prepare double reporting
for the POP. It is great to hear that the divisions and labs are
highlighting ISP projects in their reporting, while at the same time
this adds a new flavor to the ISP section of the POP. The consensus now
is that full-length descriptions of the projects will remain in the
division and lab write-ups, and the ISP write-ups on the projects will
be brief, refer back to those larger descriptions, and summarize
milestones and plans. The ISP section will end up looking fairly
similar to the FY10 POP, with updates.
This means that you do not need to send a separate report to me for the
POP if you have already been asked for one at the division/lab level.
If you have a specific set of bullets that you would like to see in the
ISP section, of course I welcome that input, so send them along! I am
working with each of the POP writers to make sure that our pieces
harmonize, and tell a clear story about ISP and the collaborative
projects that suits the audience for the report, our NSF program
managers. Please let me know if questions come up about the process.

One final note: if you have not been asked to write anything at the
division/lab level, please let me know, because we will need to create
something for the ISP section.

Thank you all for your patience and collaboration,
Paula
