 evaluate, test, and refine faculty professional development that pairs <i>inclusive teaching strategies</i> with active learning in undergraduate STEM courses. Each summer, a team of 15 IDEALS faculty fellows participate in a week-long workshop, introducing
 them to Backwards Design, the Transparency in Learning and Teaching framework, Active Learning strategies, and inclusive teaching pedagogy.

<span style="color:#1b1b1b">which will research: (1) changes to teaching practice that faculty make because of the professional development program, (2) faculty perceptions of the impact of changes made, and (3) the impact of these changes on student engagement,

 to teach undergraduate courses in the Postdoc’s area of expertise. The postdoc will take an active role in studying the impact of the IDEALS professional development program on faculty teaching practices. They are encouraged to develop their own independent
