<p style="box-sizing:border-box;margin:0px 0px 10.5px">The Program Assistant will work with the STEM Ed PaCER program, a collaboration between Michigan State University (MSU), the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment at the State University of New
 York’s Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) campus, and the Sustainable Development Institute of the College of Menominee Nation (CMN). This collaboration will build a diverse cohort of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education
 Postdoctoral Research Fellows (n=6) who will train and work on Participatory and Community-Engaged Research (PaCER) in the context of STEM education. The Program Assistant will be responsible for the daily logistics of participant recruitment, coordination
 across multiple organizations and individuals, and collaboration with key partners including MSU’s Offices of the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education, Postdoctoral Affairs, and Outreach & Engagement. Program Manager will interact with experts who
 will provide disciplinary knowledge content to assist in the creation of education materials and outputs including in-person workshops and may assist with STEM Ed PaCER curriculum development and materials. This position will be responsible for managing the
 interface between the multiple institutions, experts, and Indigenous communities, including international communities involved in this work. Tasks may include: managing calendars and assisting with scheduling meetings, communicating with participants and stakeholders
 at the multiple institutions, coordinating internally (program participants with departments) and externally (institutions with communities), facilitating appropriate permitting, assisting with dissemination of materials, and identifying additional stakeholders
 to engage in the program.</p>
<p style="box-sizing:border-box;margin:0px 0px 10.5px">Experience, both lived and academic, in or with Indigenous/Native/First Nations communities, building and maintaining relationships with community partners, project management, maintaining a cooperative
 and collaborative environment and effectively managing conflict, interest in community-engaged research and/or STEM education research are highly desirable. This 2+-year project will offer fixed term support for this position renewed annually based on satisfactory
 performance. An initial commitment of two years is desirable. Salary will follow budgeted levels and be commensurate with expected experience ($50,000-$60,000).</p>
