with broad experience in geology and ability to contribute to a nationally recognized program in Earth Science teacher preparation beginning Fall 2021. The professional obligation is for a ten-month academic year. Expectations include teaching, research, student

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Required Qualifications:</span></b><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> Ph.D. in geology with a strong background or experience in geoscience education with a focus in teacher preparation
-or- Ed.D. in geoscience education and strong background in geology (ABD considered, doctorate required by time of first renewal notification); field-oriented approach to teaching and research; willingness to conduct research with undergraduate students; ability
to work collaboratively with faculty in science teacher education. <u></u><u></u></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Preferred:</span></b><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> experience with science teacher preparation; at least three years of experience of teaching high school or middle school earth
science; experience with providing professional development for science teachers; additional expertise in one or more fields including: hydrogeology, environmental geology, soil science, or sedimentology; and experience working with diverse populations and/or
pedagogies and/or multicultural teaching experience.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
