[Grad-postdoc-assn] Tips on interviewing

Good morning!

I hope you are enjoying this lovely weather (in Boulder, at least).

Here are a couple of good articles on interviewing that might be of
interest.

There is one point I am not sure I agree on in the first article. It says
to be prepared to ask for a salary. In the past I've been counseled to
never give the first number, but if asked or pushed, to say "I'm sure we
can work something out." I don't know what the current common wisdom is. In
one case I used that approach and the salary mentioned was way higher than
I had expected or would have asked for.

If anyone wants to share other resources on negotiating a salary or
interviewing, please do!
