Hi All,

Please see the message below to register as a "Grand Awards Judge" at the
virtual Colorado Science & Engineering Fair on April 8th (sorry if you
already heard about this event and this email is an email blast). I was a
judge last year and signed up this year - it is a fun experience, and the
student projects are inpiring!

Best,

Josh

Subject: Judges Needed for the 2021 Virtual Colorado Science & Engineering
Fair
To: Butler,Courtney <Courtney.Butler at colostate.edu>

The Colorado Science & Engineering Fair will be held virtually for 2021 via
zFairs. We need scientists, physicians, psychologists, engineers,
veterinarians, nurses, and other professionals from the fields of science,
mathematics, computer science, medicine, physics, etc. to help us select
the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention winners from the 2 division and 12
*categories* (pdf) <http://www.csef.colostate.edu/Category_Descriptions.pdf>.
To register as a Grand Awards Judge, your background needs to reflect the
experience, education and expertise for the three categories you select on
the registration form.

*The Grand Awards Judging interviews with ALL students will be scheduled on
April 8, 2021. Judges will need to be available for that entire day (each
category will have a different schedule based on the number of students
registered) just as you have in the past.*

Project materials will be available through zFairs for judges to review
prior to the interviews starting March 24th. Interviews will be held in
zFairs with their video conferencing program - we are hoping to get enough
judges signed up for each of the categories so that teams of 2-3 judges can
give each student at least 3 interviews during the day, instead of just one
interview with all of the judges like we did last year.

*For 2021, we will need for you to register in zFairs at
https://co-csef.zfairs.com <https://co-csef.zfairs.com>. This will be a
little different from how you would have registered in the past, so here
are some tips:*

   - Create an Account by filling out your First Name, Last Name and Email
Address and check the I'm Not a Robot box. Then Click the Create an Account
   button.
   - You will be taken to the Verify Email Address page - before you can
continue, you will need to go to your email account and click on the link
sent to you in order to verify that you have given us an email account that
   works.
   - From there, you will choose Judge.
   - Fill out the Personal Information page (including creating a password).
   - Fill out the Judge's Preferences - you will notice that we have made
individual categories each division ( i.e.: Junior Animal Sciences and
Senior Animal Sciences) so make sure you select the correct categories you
are able to judge (if you don't care if you get switched to the other
division, please choose either for question #3).
   - Make sure you choose Grand Awards Judge for question #1.
   - Answer questions 3, 4, 5 and 6 (if applicable).
   - Read and agree to the Conflict of Interest statement - if you think
you might have a conflict of interest, please give those details in the
open comments section of this page.
   - Confirm that you are agreeing to be a grand awards judge on April 8th.

Thank you so much for your support of our young scientists and engineers in
Colorado - we look forward to hearing from you soon. Please feel free to
forward this request for judges on to others who may be interested.

If you can't help this year, but would like to be kept on the list for
2022, feel free to update your normal judge information on the CSEF website
