MATLAB helps geoscientists analyze and understand the dynamics,
preconditions and trends related to Earth, the ocean and the atmosphere.

*Data Sciences for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences *

Date: November 18, 2020
Time: 2:00PM – 3:30PM CT

Venue: WebEx Online Session

In this live session, we show you how to analyze and visualize scientific
data and develop algorithms and machine learning models in MATLAB that
automatically learn and improve from experience to understand complex
geological trends. We also show you how to access data from repositories
such as USGS, NASA, NCAR/UCAR and IRIS, and demonstrate techniques that can
help you perform analysis more efficiently.

*Learn how to: *

   - Access and import data from many sources (files, databases, hardware,
   etc.)
   - Use apps to explore and visualize data, and for design and problem
   solving
   - Automate and capture your work in easy to write scripts and programs
   - Explore MATLAB’s documentation to find built-in functions and reusable
   code
   - Create easy to share professional, standalone desktop apps with *App
   Designer*
   - Prototype, test and refine predictive models using machine learning

*1. You are not working from home, you are at home, during a pandemic,
trying to get work done.
2. Your physical, mental, and emotional health is the most important
thing right now.
3. Don't compare your ability to cope with everyone else's.
4. Don't attempt to compensate for lost productivity by working longer hours.
5. We will get through this.*
