[Grad-postdoc-assn] Professional Development: Panel on Faculty Jobs

Dear Graduate Students and Postdocs,

The Professional Development Committee will hold an online panel discussion
on* faculty job applications*. This event will be held on *Thursday, 12
November, *from *9:30 to 10:30 AM.   *

Our panelists are:

Manuela Brunner, Postdoc at RAL, Lecturer at University of Freiburg,
Germany (starting 2021)

Angie Pendergrass, Assistant Professor at Cornell University

Matthew R. Kumjian, Associate Professor at PennState University


We will discuss topics including,

1. How to start and prepare the package for application?

2. What to do during the interview?

3. Response and job negotiation after interview

4. Special topics on COVID-job market and others.


Each panelist will provide insights and tips on their experiences, followed
by a Q&A session.  Please bring your questions on any related topics.   We
look forward to your participation!
