Dear all,
Please see the talk and workshop at CU on March 6:

*Do you want to make your science more useful to the world beyond academia?*

Join Lisa Dilling
<https://sciencepolicy.colorado.edu/about_us/meet_us/lisa_dilling/index.html>,
Director of Western Water Assessment <https://wwa.colorado.edu/>, for a
public talk on *usable science*, followed by a panel discussion featuring
CU Boulder researchers whose science has been used beyond the university.
Through the talk and panel discussion, we will explore different pathways
to usable science, look at practical considerations and pitfalls, and learn
from some of the researchers who have made usable science a major part of
their careers.

A *participatory workshop* will follow for graduate students and
early-career scientists to consider the real-world potential for making
their own research more usable now and throughout their careers. Space in
the workshop will be limited and food will be provided.

   - *Engage Scientist Public Lecture: *4 to 5 PM on March 6, 2019 in CIRES
