Good morning,

Please consider attending or presenting at this one day conference at CSU
for graduate students and postdocs in the atmospheric sciences.
Registration is free and lunch is provided. I'm sure that some car pools
will be organized from Boulder to Fort Collins. It should be a great
opportunity to network with peers and other professionals in the
discipline. See the attached flyer as well as the information below.

Take care,
Valerie

*2019 Young Scientist Symposium on Atmospheric Research (YSSAR)*

*CALL FOR ABSTRACTS*

We invite all atmospherically inclined students and postdoctoral
researchers from across the Front Range to attend and present their
atmospheric research at a one-day symposium for early career scientists.
The symposium will be held on *Friday, October 25, 2019 *at Colorado State
University’s Department of Atmospheric Science in Fort Collins. There
are opportunities for both oral and poster presentations, with the only
requirement being that the topic must be related to the atmosphere. This
includes, but is not limited to:

● Atmospheric chemistry and aerosols
● Atmospheric dynamics
● Climate and climate modeling
● Cloud physics
● Environmental health and air quality
● Land-ocean-atmosphere interactions
● Mesoscale meteorology
● Remote sensing
● Tropical meteorology
● General Atmospheric Modeling (e.g. LES and Terra Incognita)
● Boundary Layer and Renewable Energy

We hope you will take this opportunity to practice your talk or poster for
an upcoming national conference, to share your current research with fellow
young scientists and to interact with this year's Keynote Speaker,
Representative Chris Hansen. We would also like to emphasize that
attendance-only participation in the symposium is welcome. Join us to learn
about ongoing research at institutions in the area and meet potential
collaborators for future projects. Registration is free and lunch will be
provided. The symposium will be followed by an informal happy hour held
off-campus.

The deadline to submit an abstract is *Friday, September 27, 2019*, and the
deadline to register to attend is *Friday, October 11, 2019*. Please direct
any questions to csu.yssar at gmail.com.
