Application season is here and the time is right for preparing job
application materials! I've heard that the cover letter and CV are THE most
important application documents for making a strong impression, when the
pile of applications is high.

Join us on Tuesday, Nov. 13th from 2:00 - 3:30 pm in the MMM Conference
Room for *A CV & Cover Letter Writing Bootcamp*.  This is geared to
graduate students and postdocs who are looking to apply for academic
postings such as a postdoc or faculty position.

*Bring: *

   - A job ad that you are/were interested in
   - A copy of your cover letter
   - A copy of your CV

If you don't have these, we can provide you with a CV and cover letter
written by someone else (anonymously).

*Workshop Format:*
After a short presentation on tips and strategies, you will get to critique
a cover letter. Then you and one another person will pair up to review each
other's materials using a provided checklist. Afterwards, you will exchange
observations on your CV and cover letter. It is a great opportunity to
learn get some valuable tips.

This session will be led by Rosimar Rios-Berrios (NCAR Postdoc) who
recently went through the job searching process and others.

Note that the workshop is 90 minutes long. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be
provided.
