*1. NCAR Networking & Discovery Day Last Week*

Last Friday, the Networking & Discovery Day at Center Green was a real
success, with so many excellent talks, including those by several of our
postdocs.  Well done!  We also had a good conversation with NSF Program
Director, Manda Adams.  I encourage you to attend this event next year if
you missed it this year.  It's invigorating to see some of the cutting edge
research that people are doing at NCAR|UCAR.

*2. Next NCAR Fellows Association Seminar: May 23*

Our next seminar is on *collaborating in science*, on Tuesday, May 22nd.
Mark your calendar!

Pacific Northwest National Laboratories will be discussing collaboration in
science. Topics may include how to find collaborators, choosing what to
work on, and how to say no to projects. Participants are invited to share
questions and insights.

The workshop will be at 2 pm in the MMM Conference Room in FL3.  This will
be followed by a tea in the nearby lounge area from 3 - 4 pm. This will be
announced in Staff Notes, and I'll send another reminder closer to that
date.

All grad students, postdocs, and early career scientists are welcome.
