Center for Climate Change Communication, George Mason University

We need your help in finding the right candidate for a terrific job
opportunity. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our
climate communication research team.
The Fellow will contribute to our ongoing *Climate Matters* project, a
National Science Foundation funded initiative that encourages and enables
TV weathercasters to report on the local impacts of climate change. Going
forward, we will be offering *Climate Matters* reporting resources to a
broader set of local journalists working in TV, radio, newspapers and
digital newsrooms around the nation. Using a combination of in-depth
interviews and quantitative surveys, the Fellow will play a leading role in
helping us assess the climate change views and reporting interests of local
journalists and news directors across America.
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant social science discipline, and a
track record of journal and/or conference papers on relevant topics of
inquiry. Priority will be given to applicants who have strong qualitative
interviewing and quantitative survey research skills, and who have a strong
understanding of climate change and/or journalism.
The position will be filled at the earliest possible opportunity, ideally
in mid-August. More information about the position, and the online
application form, can be found here: https://jobs.gmu.edu/postings/41062
