Dr. Cora Randall, chair of the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic
Sciences (ATOC) at CU Boulder will hold a seminar for NCAR postdocs about
the benefits of teaching while doing a postdoc, how it might impact your
job search and future tenure process, and how to go about gaining teaching
experience. As part of a larger collaboration effort between NCAR and ATOC,
she is offering teaching opportunities at CU, which are ranging from
teaching an entire course, to a recital class, or just a one-time guest
lecture.

Many of you met Cora at the postdoc career workshop. She is a great mentor,
very invested in postdoc training and will come ready to answer your
questions. Cora also works in LASP in case you are interested in teaching
outside the traditional atmospheric science field.

ACOM director David Edwards initiated this collaboration with ATOC and will
attend the meeting.

Please join us on June 28, 9-10:30am, FL2-1003 and encourage your peers to
attend.
