Environment Canada is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct
research related to high-resolution (km or sub-km scale) atmospheric
modeling. The project is only broadly defined but would likely involve
incorporating the effects of aerosols into the model microphysics and
radiation schemes. The research is to be done at the Atmospheric
Numerical Prediction Research Section (RPN), located in the west island
of Montreal, and will involve using the Global Environmental Multiscale
(GEM) model. Applicants should have experience in atmospheric
modeling. Experience running a mesoscale model in a UNIX-based
environment would be an asset. Funding for this position is available
for up to three years.
For more information or to apply, please contact Dr. Stephane Belair
(stephane.belair at ec.gc.ca) or Dr. Jason Milbrandt
(jason.milbrandt at ec.gc.ca).

ensemble systems). The research is to be done at the Atmospheric
