Hello,
Here is an announcement of several short courses that will be offered at
GSA this year. Looks like many great opportunities -- and there are
even more courses listed on the GSA website.

The Geological Society of America (GSA) will be offering these courses
at its upcoming Annual Meeting (9-12 Oct in Minneapolis, MN). For
abstracts and the roster of other available courses, please visit
http://www.geosociety.org/meetings/2011/courses.htm. GSA's *early
registration* *deadline is Sept 6* so act fast! After this deadline all
course prices go up $30.
If you are interested in one of these courses, sign up on-line at
http://www.geosociety.org/meetings/2011/reg.htm. For those of you who
have already registered for the meeting, you may add one of these
courses by calling GSA's Sales and Services Department at 303-357-1000.
If you are a GSA K--12 teacher member (dues are $30 each year), you do
not need to register for the meeting or pay the nonregistrant/short
course only fee of $40 to sign up for these courses.
