                  Here is the information for our next PAC workshop.



The Postdoctoral Association of Colorado

Alternative Careers Workshop

March 11, 2009

11:00 am - 1:00 pm

UMC Aspen Rooms

While approximately 90% of all doctoral degrees are granted by the top
100 research schools in the country, only 10-20 % of the graduates will
end up as faculty at the top 100 universities.  Only 45% of all doctoral
recipients will end up working in a four year institution.  Thus, 55% of
all doctoral graduates will end up working outside of academia.  In this
workshop, we present three alternative career paths for PhDs.
Specifically, Kendall Powell, Christine Weeber, and John Josey will
discuss their career paths outside academia.
