The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M University is
seeking applications for a tenure-track position in the field of
weather analysis and forecasting. Research expertise in one or more
of the following areas is of particular interest: synoptic
meteorology, mesoscale meteorology, numerical weather prediction, and
data assimilation. The successful candidate will be expected to
maintain a prominent research program and to teach key undergraduate
and graduate courses, with an emphasis on those related to weather
and forecasting. This position is budgeted at, and expected to be
filled at, the assistant professor level with nine months per year of
state salary support, although outstanding applicants at other levels
might be considered.
