For fellows who were not involved in the selection processes, please
find Dr. Hooke's bio.
I have also uploaded this bio and his two presentation files on swiki

I am sorry for the fellows who does not have access to swiki but at this
moment there is no
way we can attach them in this email or upload them the ASP web site
since Scott is out of office..

William H. Hooke is a Senior Policy Fellow and Director of the Policy
Program at the American Meteorological Society. Prior to this
appointment, Dr. Hooke worked for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) and antecedent agencies for 33 years. At NOAA,
he conducted research and then served in a series of management
positions of increasing scope, including Director of NOAA's
Environmental Sciences Group (now Forecast Systems Lab), Deputy Chief
Scientist, and Acting Chief Scientist of NOAA. Dr. Hooke also served on
the faculty at the University of Colorado. He currently chairs the
steering committee of the National Research Council's Disasters
Roundtable, and is a member of the ICSU Planning Group on Natural and
Human-Induced Environmental Hazards and Disasters. Dr. Hooke holds a
B.S. from Swarthmore College, and S.M. and Ph.D. from the University of
Chicago. He was elected a member of the American Philosophical Society
in April, 2006.
